Language Exchange Registration Process
BEFORE you move on to the registration page, please check and see if you alredy have an account. If you used Language Exchange during the 2006-2007 school year, you already have an account.

If you already have an account and would like to register for another blog, use this page.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
- Your
instructor will give you a user name and password to get into the
registration area. If you are not currently taking any CSL language course, but would like to contribute to the blog(s), please send email message to the administrator expressing your request to join. The administrator will get back to you with the user name and password.
- When
you arrive at the registration page, please follow the direction
there.
- User
name should be FirstnameLastname without any space. So if your name is John Houston,
use JohnHouston. If that name
already exists, use your middle initial like JohnWHouston.
- Password
should be your student ID number. If you are not a Rice student, then use something easy to remember. The password must be at least 4 characters long.
- Use
rice email address for the email address. If you do not have a Rice address, then you can use any of your email address. Username and password will be sent to the email address you provide here.
- Read
the agreement terms, complete the form, and submit. If you are only blogging, then go to the step #11 below.
- Once
you finish registering, there are a few more set up process you have to go
through.
- Go to
BBS, log in, and click on the usergropus link.
- If
your class requires you to use BBS, then find your class from the
usergroups list and join the group. Once you join, your instructgor or the board admin will approve your request. Until then you will not be able to use the board.
- (you
are still inside BBS usergroups) If your class requires you to use WIKI,
please enroll yourself to the WIKI group. Once you join, your instructgor or the board admin will approve your request. Until then you will not be able to use the wiki.
- If
your class requires you to post blogs/podcastings then please wait for the
administrator to place you into the corresponding class. This usually takes 24
hrs.
