The Plan

We are making a puppet show loosely based on "Finding Nemo". We will have fish on sticks in front of the camera and speak all the dialogue ourselves. We will strive to incorporate all the lessons we have studied this semester.

The general plot: Nemo and his Dad meet to talk about school and a birthday party. Nemo gets directions from his Dad to the birthday party. He goes to school and meets his friend, Turtle, and they talk for a while. Then Nemo goes to the store and buys a gift for the party. Nemo gets lost. He meets Dorian. Nemo's Dad realizes that Nemo isn't at the party and starts looking for him. He describes Nemo to people on the street. Nemo and his Dad are often in the same places, but don't meet each other (this is a joke to be funny). Nemo and Dorian go to the library and get a map because Dorian lives next to the zoo. They go to her house and Nemo realizes that his friend's birthday party is at the house next door, so he's not lost anymore. The party is almost over, but he gives his gift. Nemo's Dad arrives and everything is okay. The end.

Dad: Nemo, 你早。
Nemo: 爸爸，早上好。
Dad: 你今天看起来很累了。 怎么搞的？
Nemo: 昨天的物理考试我考得糟透(zaotou)了。我只得了一百分。
Dad: 一百分？那不是考好的吗？
Nemo: 物理考试的满(man)分是一百五十分。
Dad: 哦！为什么？
Nemo: 我想读(du)书，只是没有时间，因为我这个学期选了六门课，物理课，化学课，两个数学，英文和中文。
Dad: 但是你每天晚上看电视三个小时。
Nemo: 还有我讨厌(taoyan)物理课，尤其(youqi)是做实验(shiyan)。
Dad: 但是上课的时候，你应该注意听老师说的，还有别忘了做作业！
Nemo: 是，我知道了。
Dad: 可是，你买了大伟的生日礼物吗？
Nemo: 什么？
Dad: 忘了吗？今天是大伟的生日。你不是要去大伟的生日酒会吗？
Nemo: 哦，对。我还没想起来什么礼物是好的。
Dad: 好好，你还有时间。你知道到大伟的家怎么去吗？
Nemo: 我不知道。几天前大伟打电话告诉我，但是我忘了。
Dad: 那么，我要再告诉你。大伟家离你的学校不太远，不到一公里。你走出校门后往前走，到十字路口往右拐，过了美术馆继续往前走，你可以看到公车占在你的前面。坐三路车到北京饭馆战。下车后，往前走，到红绿灯路口往左拐，再过一个路口就到了。太简单，对不对？
Nemo: 。。。
Dad: 啊，我差点儿迟到了。我要上班。再见，Nemo！
Nemo: 再见。。。

Nemo: 哦, 烏龜(wu1 gui1). 我是從家到這兒剛剛來的.
烏龜: 我想請你跟我吃中飯, 好不好?
Nemo: 很好. 你生病了嗎? 你的話聽得奇怪一點.
烏龜: 對. 我昨天發燒了, 不過我媽媽做了的飯很好喝, 做了雞湯(ji1 tang1).
Nemo: 哦. 你好點了嗎?
烏龜: 恩. 我好多了. 你下午想不想看電影?
Nemo: 電影院有甚麼好電影?
烏龜: 有那個新的恐怖片還有一個愛情片.
Nemo: 你對愛情片有興趣(xingqu)嗎?
烏龜: 甚麼多電影我喜歡看.
Nemo: 哦,懂(dong)了,懂了. 我已經很久沒看電影, 但是我不能去. 我得到大偉的家去送禮物.
烏龜: 好. 中飯到了, 再我找你阿.

老闆: 太棒了. 你喜不喜歡那個搖滾樂(yao2 gun3 yue4) 隊叫”媽媽虎虎”嗎?
Nemo: 不. 我討厭(taoyan)”媽媽虎虎.” 他們的聲音(sheng1 yin1)聽得好像他們的名字.
老闆: 哈哈.
Nemo: 您有那個萊斯大學的學生寫的歌叫”麻煩”嗎?
老闆: 當然, 就是我最有名的音樂. 那是十塊錢.

Dorian: 你不是从小的时候住在这城市吗？
Nemo: 事实上(shishishang)，我是在这儿出生的，但是我方向(fangxiang)找得不太好。还有我爸爸太快地告诉我怎么到哪儿。
Dorian: 你为什么不给你的爸爸打电话在问怎么去?
Nemo: 我爸爸没有手机(shouji)。

(Picks up phone and calls party)
朋友: 你好. 這是.
爸爸: 你好. 我是Nemo的爸爸. 我的兒子現在在你家嗎?
朋友: 不是. 他說他今天我晚會來,可是他還不在這裡.
爸爸: 哎呀,我的兒子是大笨蛋. 他現在大概迷路.
朋友: 阿,可以.
爸爸: 哎呀,怎麼麻煩了. 好,我現在去找我的兒子. 謝謝,生日快樂.
朋友: 謝謝,再見.

先生: 他跟你像一樣嗎?
爸爸: 一點好像. 他張得和我一樣高了. 他的眼睛比我的大多了. 我張的沒有他英俊.
先生: 那... 他的頭髮也是紅色的嗎?
爸爸: 是.
先生: 我從美術館來的. 我過圖書館的時候,我覺得你兒子根一個朋友看到了.
爸爸: 你已經很久沒看到他們嗎?
先生: 我剛剛從那裡來.
爸爸: 可能是四點你看到他們了?
先生: 對,大概是.
爸爸: 好,我現在到圖書館走. 謝謝你.
(Dad says to himself:)
爸爸: 他可能開玩笑. 我的兒子大概不在圖書館. 他不喜歡學習,看書. 很喜歡這個晚會.

• Nemo & Dorian walk by in the background, but Dad doesn't see him.

Nemo: Dorian,圖書館在我們的右邊. 你想去裡頭嗎?
Dorian: 哎呀,我們迷路. 好阿,我們走巴.

• Nemo & Dorian walk in, but Librarian doesn't realize it is the lost child.

• They use the map to find directions to the zoo, because Dorian knows she lives next to the zoo.
